- Use the wall plate to mark the drill holes for the cable and screws. Use a level to check that the wall plate is straight. Remember that the doorbell wires must pass through the bottom of the hole in the Hello wall plate
- .Drill a hole all the way through the wall for the power cord. Use an 11/32 in. (9 mm) drill bit long enough to run it all the way through the wall. Always know where the plumbing and electrical wires are in the wall before drilling.
- Drill pilot holes for the screws using a 3/32-inch (2 mm) drill bit. Use the supplied masonry drill bit and masonry anchor if you want to drill into stone, concrete, or other hard materials.
- Install the wall plate with the screws. Ensure that the wall plate is right side up and the horizontal screw hole is at the bottom.
- Mount the wall plate with the screws.
6. Pass the power cable through the wall
